What is humming in the headphones? Or in the background as I knead the dough ofa  perfect loaf of French bread?

Jean-Paul Sartre mused in La Nausée that music is perfect - circular - and can never die unlike all things ephemeral. You can tear up or a score or burn a record but the vibrations are still there.

In the wood work and furniture. Ebbing their own tune in our blood stream.

Ever changing and flowing is music as it is with me.

I am a shamefully unpretentious judge of music. If I were to write a music zine it would be all nice things. A zine written by your grandmother.

"Isn't that nice," I say, my hands clasped across my lap with a pleasant smile on my face, "they worked so hard."

I get just as fired up about Beyonce as Edith Piaf.
